Macmillan Cancer support

Each year in Bristol, more than 1,100 people are diagnosed with cancer. Nearly all cancer patients suffer some loss of income or increased expenditure as a result of their diagnosis which can make this difficult time even more stressful.

Macmillan Cancer Support and Bristol Citizens Advice are working together to deliver a dedicated welfare benefits advice service aimed at supporting people affected by cancer. Our specialist caseworkers can help clients with benefit entitlement, filling in forms, appealing benefit award decisions as well as sourcing and applying for any charitable grants which you may be entitled to.

The service is available in several locations across the city including South Bristol Community Hospital, Downend Health Centre, Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and Southmead Hospital.

Ask your Macmillan or specialist nurse to make a referral to us and we will get in contact with you.

Telephone us  on 0117 946 2563 (please note that this number will put you in touch with an administrator who can help to refer you into the service, but will not be able to offer advice)
