The role

We are looking for a Debt and Money Advice Caseworker who is passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need to work. 4 days per week (0.8fte*).

You will need to demonstrate that you are a strong team player, with an eye for detail, and have great people skills. You will thrive in a busy environment and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. The post holder will provide, as part of the project team, a comprehensive debt advice service by assisting clients to achieve the best outcome for their circumstances.

The role requires carrying out Debt Assessments, maximising income, preparing budgets and providing debt options, along with signposting/referring or carrying out casework/advocacy for clients based on their individual needs and situation.

*There is the potential for an additional 1 day per week (to a full-time post) at one of our outreach projects, providing largely one off, general advice on a range of issues beyond Debt. Full training can be provided.

Key details:

• Salary: £28,711 pa FTE, (Pro Rata to 0.8)
• Hours / work pattern: (full time 35 hours per week) (Mon-Fri) part-time 28 hours per week TBC
• Contract: Debt Adviser- Fixed term until 31-3-25 (extension possible)
• Location: Main office (BS1)
