Welfare Benefits Caseworker

We have a vacancy for a Welfare Benefits Caseworker to join our well established Health Related Benefits Project. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys casework and unravelling the complexities of the welfare system.
Our Health Related benefits Project delivers a specialised welfare benefits casework service to some of the most diverse and deprived areas of Bristol. The clients we work with are often very vulnerable and demonstrate a high level of need, particularly in respect of health issues and deprivation.
The project delivers regular outreach sessions in health centres and GP surgeries across Bristol. The work is mostly complex welfare benefits casework with a lot of tribunal representation. 

We are seeking a competent benefits caseworker to join the team.  Details are as follows:
Hours: 21 – 24 hours per week by negotiation
Working pattern to ideally include Wednesdays and Thursdays to accommodate current outreach arrangements.
Pay: NJC Payscale point 19 (£24,799) pro rata
Contract: Permanent

Reception Worker

We see around 9,000 unique clients a year and answer in the region of 25,000 different enquiries, so our reception can be very busy. We are looking for two receptionists to provide a professional reception service to the clients of Bristol Citizens Advice.

The duties will include being the lead receptionist, supporting volunteers, assisting clients and ensuring the advice session runs smoothly for both clients and advisers. Having 1 to 1 appointments with clients after training to complete forms, assist with phone calls and write letters, being involved with training new reception volunteers and developing their skills.

Hours: 2 roles are being recruited. There is some flexibility, but we need to ensure we have reception workers for the whole week (Monday – Friday, 9am – 4:30pm). For example, your role may be 28, 24.5 or 21 hours per week over specific days and time periods.
Duration: Contract is for 7 months to finish the 31/3/19 – there maybe options at the time to extend the contract.
Salary: NJC level 5 £18,795 pro rata
Leave: 5.6 weeks (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
