Ask Us Project for Young People

The Ask Us Project was a five year (2016-2021) collaborative project which brought Citizens Advice Bristol,, the Bristol Law Centre and 1625 Independent People together with the aim of improving access to advice for young people in Bristol experiencing hardship crisis.

Over the course of the project so much has been learned about the unique challenges faced by young people navigating the system and the particular barriers they face when accessing advice, support and information. That learning, along with feedback from young people, support workers and advice workers has been been distilled into two toolkits aimed at:

  • Promoting learning for support agencies from advice agencies on good practice in giving information to the young people they support.
  • Promote learning for advice agencies from support agencies on how to make their services more accessible to young people.

If you are part of an organisation working with young people and want to engage more effectively with those aged 16-25, please make use of the Ask Us toolkits. They can be accessed here: https://askustoolkit.co.uk/
