Our latest energy report, Shock Proof: Breaking the cycle of winter energy crises, has been all over the news today.
This new research has found that more than two million people will be disconnected from their gas and electricity this winter because they can’t afford to top up their prepayment meter, and says those struggling most need more support to pay their energy bills.
We’ve seen extensive coverage of the report across print, radio and TV today, including multiple BBC News outlets. Rosi Avis (she/her) of CA Manchester was on BBC Breakfast, Elizabeth Blakelock spoke to Morning Live, and we featured in news bulletins on Radio 2, the Today programme and 5Live – we’re also expecting our storyteller Muhammad to appear with Rosi on 5Live at 5.20pm.
Thanks and well done to everyone involved, especially our spokespeople Alexander Belsham-Harris, Anne Pardoe, Rosi, and Elizabeth, who all went on the airwaves today, and to Muhammad who’s been so open in sharing his story.
