After 5 years, the Ask Us project has ended. This collaborative project between Citizens Advice Bristol, Bristol Law Centre and 1625 Independent People worked between 2016-2021 to improve access to advice for young people in hardship crisis in Bristol.
The 5 year National Lottery-funded project received feedback from young people, support workers and advice workers. The project cumulated in the development of two toolkits.
The first toolkit, for support agencies, is a resource for good practice in giving effective information to the young people they support.
The second toolkit is aimed at advice agencies. It promotes learning on ways they can improve the accessibility of their services.
We hope that the toolkits will benefit the delivery of support and advice and its principles can be applied to staff and volunteer induction and training.
