An epidemic of evictions means the number of people living in temporary accommodation recently hit a 25-year high. We’re also helping more people than ever before experiencing or are threatened with homelessness. Without action, the problem is only going to get worse. But there’s something that the government can do to alleviate the hardship we’re seeing.
