Bristol has a substantial, and growing, student population and a shortage of affordable housing. For the most part, students live in privately rented accommodation, and for many of them it will be their first experience of living outside the family home.  How aware of their rights and responsibilities are they when it comes to renting on the private market?  With funding from TDS, Citizens Advice Bristol have worked to raise awareness through various public events such as Blue Monday 2019, as well as Money Entitlement Events organised by local MP Karin Smyth.

What we are focusing on now is researching how we can best meet the advice needs of the students in our city and are launching a survey to help us understand how we can help them. If you are a student in private rental, or you know someone who is, please share this link to our online survey with them :

It will only take a minute to complete and you could be in with a chance of wining some vouchers!
