St Monica TrustWelfare benefits advice to residents |
|
The St Monica Trust Partnership was set up to provide Welfare benefits advice to St Monica Trust residents.
|
|
Bristol CAB provides a Welfare Rights caseworker to attend at the St Monica Trust sites at Cote lane, Westbury Fields, Monica Wills House and Sandford Station, to give Welfare Benefits advice to residents and their relations. |
The main purpose is to advise and assist residents mainly in their homes on entitlement and applications for appropriate benefits.
The adviser attends each site for half a day approximately every 3 weeks
The main benefits covered are:
- Attendance Allowance/Disability Living Allowance
- State Retirement pension
- Pension Credit
- Housing benefit and Council Tax benefit
- Health charges such as Prescriptions, Dental treatment, Sight tests and glasses
We do give advice on the full range of welfare benefits and where necessary we will also refer residents to other advisers/specialist as appropriate.
To access the service, St Monica Trust residents, relations or friends should either:
- Contact a member of St Monica Trust Staff who will pass on the request,
or
- Ring 0117 9462555 and leave a message for the Adviser.
