
Volunteering as a Receptionist or Information Worker
We are currently looking for volunteers to provide support at our advice point and bureau reception. It is a dynamic role that keeps you on your toes, and is a great opportunity to gain experience in a demanding role which encompasses all aspects of customer service, administration and information support. If you would like to apply for this position please complete the application form below. This involves amongst other things meeting new clients, processing information, signposting people to services, assisting people to access computers, supporting clients to complete forms, etc.
For the role you must be able to volunteer for 2 sessions Monday to Friday either between 9am and 1pm or 1pm and 4.30pm (these can be on the same day). You need to be able to volunteer regularly for a minimum of three months. We are specifically looking for people who will be available for most of the summer months June to September, though we appreciate you might not be available for a couple of weeks in that period.
There will be 2 training sessions for the above posts on Tuesday 15th and Tuesday 22nd of May 10am to 3pm and you need to be able to attend both sessions.
